On our latest trip to Sichuan, we stayed a few days in and around the beautiful green Dujiangyan. My husband has a very nice and detailed blog entry about our stay – maybe I can add a little bit more to that post or at least show another side of this awesome sacred place. (Find his blog entry here: CLICK! π )
It was a rainy day upon our arrival at the bottom of Qingcheng Front Mountain, but rain never really scared us away from a nice walk. In 2014, we visited the rear mountain which made an unforgettable impression on us. That was the main reason to stay a little bit longer around this area and have a look at other places we didn’t have time for previously. While the rear mountain is the more unspoilt side of Qingcheng, the front is also an interesting experience with a great number of fascinating ancient Taoist temples. Loved every bits of it, the human built elements are in perfect harmony with the lush greens all around. It is a holy place, indeed.
Fog and heavy rain all day.
Finding some great reference for painting. π
Just a reminder where you are. π
I want one of these pavilions in my garden. I mean if I ever have a garden in my life. π π
Everyday situation... Actually, it did not matter which way I chose, they shared the same destination. Has something to say...
Misty forest. <3
A true survivor. π I loved the way they preserved the natural elements.
Outdoor spiritual gym. π
Ferry station at the fairy lake.
We crossed the lake with this pretty ferry. However, on the otherside the rain just became heavier, so we had to stop for a tea. Which meant approximately an hour break.
The light at the end of the tunnel.
Temple gate with beautiful natural materials.
We heard some strange noise from the left where we were not allowed to enter. Like someone has been killed. o.O I was honestly frightened, then turned out they were just shooting a martial arts movie. π
Peace on a rainy day.
In Sichuan, it is always tea-time. π
Hope they heard my prayers. Wish I could speak Mandarin so I could have got a prophecy. Maybe next time. π
Glad to see there's so much love on this planet.
Dragon close-up.
One of the guardians of the mountain. <3
Little red riding hood - Chinese style.
So much natural beauties in Pen Canyon! It was a pretty deep pit on the right.
On our way to Tianshi Cave.
Tianshi cave - where I could have got a prophecy. π
One of the best features of spring in Sichuan is the peach blossom. π
Found a secret garden full of peach blossoms, while my husband was having a chat with a lovely new friend.
Gossip boys. π
I can prove it was raining all day.
Loved sitting here and emptying my mind for a little while.

For those who are interested in calligraphy.
