On our latest trip to Sichuan, we stayed a few days in and around the beautiful green Dujiangyan. My husband has a very nice and detailed blog entry about our stay – maybe I can add a little bit more to that post or at least show another side of this awesome sacred place. It was a rainy day upon our arrival at the bottom of Qingcheng Front Mountain, but rain never really scared us away from a nice walk. In 2014, we visited the rear mountain which made an unforgettable impression on us. That was the main reason to stay a little bit longer around this area and have a look at other places we didn’t have time for previously. While the rear mountain is the more unspoilt side of Qingcheng, the front is also an interesting experience with a great number of fascinating ancient Taoist temples. Loved every bits of it, the human built elements are in perfect harmony with the lush greens all around. It is a holy place, indeed.

We crossed the lake with this pretty ferry. However, on the otherside the rain just became heavier, so we had to stop for a tea. Which meant approximately an hour break.

We heard some strange noise from the left where we were not allowed to enter. Like someone has been killed. o.O I was honestly frightened, then turned out they were just shooting a martial arts movie. 😀
